We know the release date of “WandaVision” from Marvel Studios

The release date of “WandaVision”, and therefore the start of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has finally been announced. The series will be coming to Disney + soon, but unfortunately not as early as expected.

Ironically, the coronavirus pandemic came at the perfect time for the MCU. Phase three ending Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) closed a certain great Marvel era that Tony Stark started in his first 2008 film. Of course, although many years have passed since the first phase and the superhero roster has expanded enormously (think of the final battle with Thanos, involving thousands of warriors), you can’t shake the feeling that something very important is just about to end.

Now, after more than a year of waiting, we are finally entering phase four of the MCU, which was heavily temporarily separated from the quarantine from the latest films. At the same time, we are entering a new era of Marvel – silver or gold? We will see.

WandaVision will appear on Disney + on January 15, 2021. Although rumors said that we will see the first episodes this winter, the date has been moved to the beginning of the next. Thus, 2020 is the first year without a movie premiere from Marvel Studios since 2009 (not forgetting the Agents of SHIELD series, of course, episodes of season 13 appeared between May and August 2020).

A mix of styles and genres, magic and uncertainty about what is true and what is an illusion – this is the beginning of the MCU’s path into the multiverse. Kevin Feige says Wanda’s story from the show will directly lead to what we’ll see in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange will be the key characters in this storyline, but we don’t know how it will be conducted, since the second title is not expected to be released until 2022. We can’t be sure how the calendar reshuffle will affect the story of the fourth phase, and WandaVision was originally supposed to appear only after Black Widow , Eternals and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. At the moment, eight titles are announced for 2021, four series ( WandaVision , The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Loki , What if …? ) And four films ( Black Widow , Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings , Eternals , Spider-Man 3 ).

The screen will feature a cast of Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda), Paul Bettany (Vision), Kat Dennings (Darcy), Kathryn Hahn (Agnes), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau) and Randall Park (Jimmy Woo). Evan Peters will also appear, and while it is not officially known what role he is to play, he may return as Quicksilver . For more behind-the-scenes photos, please  click here .
