We know the release date of “Minecraft: Dungeons and Dragons”!

In March, Minecraft developer  Mojang announced that it was collaborating with  Dungeons & Dragons on one of the most ambitious crossovers in the sandbox’s long history.

It will be a story-driven action adventure that will take the Forgotten Realms to the blocky world of Minecraft , adding role-playing mechanics for the first time. It was initially thought that the Dungeons & Dragons DLC  would be released in the spring, but Mojang and its partners at Everbloom Games and Wizards of the Coast seem to have missed the moment. Fortunately, the team recently announced that the DLC finally has a release date and will be released today.

What does the  Dungeons & Dragons DLC for Minecraft include ?

As we mentioned, this is probably the most intense DLC pack that  Minecraft has ever received. Once the new module is loaded, you’ll be greeted with a brand new interface that includes a quest log, specialized inventory, and even a dictionary. What’s more, this pack includes the most voiceovers of any licensed Minecraft pack , and even has music that plays when you perform certain actions. We’ll also be able to find role-playing mechanics there that include a class system, statistics, and even dice-based combat.

Of course, it’s still Minecraft . While Mojang and Everbloom are introducing elements from tabletop RPGs, this DLC pack won’t completely change how the game works.

What’s next for  Minecraft ?

This DLC pack may be the most exciting thing to happen in  Minecraft  this year, at least so far. On October 15, Mojang  brings back  Minecraft Live . The annual broadcast will give fans a first look at upcoming new features in the game and will feature the extremely popular community vote. Last year, fans voted to add Sniffer to  Minecraft by a very large majority. So far, the team hasn’t given us any hints about what the community will be voting on this year, but they’ll likely start pulling back the curtain soon.

Crowd voting will begin on October 13 at 1:00 PM EST. As part of the event, Mojang is also opening a live event server for  Minecraft: Bedrock Edition . You will be able to play mini-games there and even have some mafia parkour. The server will be up until October 16, giving you plenty of time to hop in and check it out even after Minecraft  Live ends.

Minecraft  is now available on PlayStation, Switch, mobile devices, Xbox and PC. Importantly, there have been a lot of rumors lately saying that we might finally get  native next-gen versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
