The Warner Bros. Studios revealed that Godzilla vs. Kong 2 will hit theaters on March 15, 2024. The given date coincides with previous reports on the start of shooting for the film. These are to be launched this summer in Australia. The creators would have less than two years to complete their work, which seems like a reasonable time frame.
So far, only one actor who will appear in this production is known. The main role will be played by Dan Stevens known, among others from the Legion series and the acting version of Beauty and the Beast . Adam Wingard will sit in the director’s chair again.
The plot of the painting remains a mystery for the time being, but the man behind the project may have revealed what we can expect some time ago. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Wingard told what he thinks should be in the next production included in the so-called Monsterverse. The director would like to see a film where the topic of people would be kept to an absolute minimum, and the real stars would be huge monsters. These opinions are certainly shared by many fans not only of the series created by Legendary Pictures, but also of kaiju amateurs in general. More than once, contemporary monster designs have been blamed for too much focus on people.
