The series Interview with the Vampire by AMC Studios, based on the cult saga Anne Rice, will appear on the screens of Polish viewers this autumn. The gothic tale from the makers of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul will premiere on Monday, November 7 at 10:00 p.m., exclusively on AMC.
Anne Rice’s novel Interview with the Vampire was released in the United States in 1976. It was released in Poland a few years later, but it gained popularity just as quickly. In 1994, the film of the same title was released, which is an adaptation of the first novel in the Vampire Chronicles series , on which the upcoming series is based.
In 2020, AMC Networks announced an agreement to purchase the rights to Anne Rice’s most important literary works: The Vampire Chronicles and The Story of the Witch of the Mayfair House , which have sold over 150 million copies worldwide. They include 18 titles, including such beloved and famous novels as: Interview with the Vampire , Vampire Lestat , Queen of the Damned and The Hour of Witches . Anne Rice was directly involved in the production process prior to her death in 2021, while Christopher Rice, the author’s son, is executive producer of the series.

A series adaptation
Based on the novel by Anne Rice, the seven -episode Interview with the Vampire follows the epic story of Louis de Pointe du Laca (Jacob Anderson), full of love, blood and the dangers of immortality. The vampire tells about his unusual existence to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Struggling with the limitations of a black man’s life in New Orleans in the early 1900s, Louis can’t resist the tempting proposition of Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid): turning into a vampire and becoming his companion. Louis’ addictive powers come at a cruel price, and the arrival of Lestat’s new ward – young Claudia (Bailey Bass) – puts both of them on a long path of revenge and redemption.
The award-winning Mark Johnson, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice are executive producers of Interview with the Vampire .
