The date of the “Game Oscars” has been officially announced – the event will be held in Los Angeles on December 9, 2021. As every year, the live broadcast will be available on the Internet.
The Game Awards is an annual event that awards awards in various categories and announces game releases. However, it is not known exactly what the organizers prepared this time and how they will surprise the viewers.
The announcement was commented by the organizer and host of the gala – Geoff Keighley:
We are very excited to be back in Los Angeles to celebrate the past, present and future of the video game industry. We do this to bring the entire gaming community together to celebrate the development of the world’s most powerful entertainment form, and to draw attention to the little creators who will one day represent the industry in the future.
As mentioned above, the gala will take place on December 9 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. As usual, the gala will be hosted by Geoff Keighley. It is worth mentioning that last year’s broadcast of the event was watched by 83 million people (84% more than in 2019). The organizers expect that this year’s viewership may be even higher.
