Netflix is working on a new anime series about the adventures of the legendary Lara Croft, now fans will be able to get their first look at Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft before its premiere in 2024!
Over the past few years, Netflix has been increasing its slate of original anime projects and licensing, and following the success of Castlevania and a number of other original ventures , it announced that it is partnering with Legendary Television and Crystal Dynamics as it begins work on its next massive video game franchise. All this to create an animated adaptation of the iconic Tomb Raider . Now fans have finally had a chance to take a closer look at the work on the new anime series.
Development of a new Tomb Raider animated series was first announced in 2021. It is officially titled Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft . Thanks to animations produced by Powerhouse Animation (the studio behind Castlevania, Blood of Zeus, Skull Island and more) and thanks to the efforts of Netflix, Crystal Dynamics and Legendary Television, you can get a first look at Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft with a new trailer released during digital event DROP 01 Netflix .
What is worth knowing about the new anime straight from the world of Tomb Raider?
Tomb Raider : The Legend of Lara Croft is currently scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2024, but at the time of writing, a specific release date has not yet been confirmed. The animation will be produced by Powerhouse Animation. The Tomb Raider animated series will star Hayley Atwell ( Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning) as Lara Croft, Allen Maldonado ( Heels, The Wonder Years) as Zip, and Earl Baylon will reprise his role as Jonah Maiava of the famous fans of the game.
