The new HBO series is about a world in which superhero activities are made illegal. Set in an alternative world where they are treated like bandits, Watchmen directly refers to the groundbreaking comic book of the same title. The first season of the critically acclaimed and acclaimed series starring Regina King, Jeremy Irons and Don Johnson debuted on DVD on June 17.
Angela Abar is a woman with many faces. He is a seasoned detective from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where police officers must hide their true identities to protect themselves from terrorists. While investigating a murder case near her own home, Angela discovers a wide-ranging conspiracy that threatens the future of the world. Nine innovative episodes of the series are full of black humor and tense action, in which thoroughly human “superheroes” move along the blurred line between good and evil.

The TV version of Watchmen was created by Damon Lindelof, based on characters co-created for DC by Dave Gibbons. On the set of the production, Damon Lindelof once again worked with Regina King (they previously met on the set of the HBO blockbuster Leftovers ). The series was produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television.
The positive reception of the first season by fans and critics continued from the first episode to the finale, said Rosemary Markson, senior vice president of marketing at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
Emmy Award winner Damon Lindelof ( Lost and Left behind series ) presents his new series inspired by the iconic graphic novel of the same title. The stars of the production directed by Nicole Kassell (HBO series Westworld ) are Oscar winners Regina King ( If Beale Street Could Talk ) and Jeremy Irons ( The Second Truth ), Golden Globe Winner Don Johnson ( Django ), winner of three Emmy Awards Jean Smart ( Fargo series ) and Tim Blake Nelson ( Minority Report ).
