‘Warrior Nun’ Didn’t Live Up to Netflix’s Expectations? The platform cancels the series

On November 10, Netflix aired the second season of Warrior Nun . However, creator Simon Barry shared the sad news on social media. The platform decided not to continue the series.

I just found out that @netflix will not be renewing  Warrior Nun – my sincere appreciation to all the fans who have worked so hard to bring this show to my attention and for the love you have shown me, the cast and the entire production team it has been a privilege to be a part of this.

– we read on Twitter Simon Barry

What is  Warrior Nun about ?

The series was based on the manga. It centers around Ava. A young woman gains a new lease of life after waking up in a morgue. A divine artifact also appeared on her back. He discovers that he now belongs to an ancient order that fights against demons on Earth and mysterious forces that want to take over it.

Who is in the cast?

The series stars Alba Baptista ( Leviano ), Tristan Ulloa ( Detectives in Skirts ), Kristina Tonteri-Young ( In the War Zone), Lorena Andrea ( The Unhinged ), Toya Turner ( Slices of Life ), Thekla Reuten ( American ), Sylvia De Fanti ( Those Happy Years ), Emilio Sakraya ( Rheingold ), Olivia Declan, Joaquim De Almeida ( State of Danger ), May Simon Lifschitz ( Darkest Moon ), Dimitri Abold ( Love Addicts ) and Charlotte Vega ( The Lodgers. Damned ).

Simon Barry does not hide his disappointment. Was hoping for a lot more seasons.

By the time we were wrapping up Season 1, we had a lot more opportunities to go story-wise. So we created a folder thinking, hey, if we’re lucky and we get Season 2, here are some things that inspire us. After watching the finished series, we regrouped to discuss ideas. For Warrior Nun , I’d give it a shot because we’re still so early in the development process. Anything between five and seven seasons would be wonderful.
