Fans, to put it mildly, are not satisfied with the refreshed edition of the third Warcraft. The developers promise improvement.
Last week’s premiere of Warcraft III: Reforged can hardly be considered successful. The refreshed version of the classic strategy lacked many of the elements announced at Blizzcon 2018. The title met with the phenomenon of the so-called review bombing , i.e. massive negative ratings on Metacritic.
Representatives of Blizzard Entertainment have published the official statement of the studio regarding the game. Developers apologized to fans who did not get the experience they expected. They promise that work is already underway on updates that will fix some of the shortcomings. The statement mentioned technical problems, but failed to address the lack of completely new cutscenes, a sample of which was presented on Blizzcon. In this matter, only the willingness to reflect the spirit of the original was mentioned.
One of the new features of Warcraft III Reforged will be the ranked multiplayer mode. In turn, the Reddit forum noted that Reforged is the first Blizzard game to feature an automatic refund system. Disappointed players get their money back almost immediately, which was not the case with previous games in the studio.
