Taika Waititi adds another project to her busy schedule. This time it will be a return to the MCU.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Taika Waititi will direct and write the screenplay for the fourth Thor solo film. It will be his second attempt at the production of Marvel and the character of the god of thunder. At the end of 2017, Thor: Ragnarok hit theaters , which was being dealt by Waititi. The picture quickly became one of the favorite productions of Marvel fans and washed away the disgust after the poorly received previous part – Thor: The Dark World .
What could be luck for Marvel Studios and MCU fans, unfortunately, will have an impact on others. The decision to shoot another Thor meant that the acting adaptation of the manga and anime Akira was postponed for an unspecified date. This film was originally scheduled to debut in May 2021. So far, the Warner Bros. label, for which Waititi was supposed to shoot Akira, did not comment on the situation.
More information about the fourth production about the god of thunder will probably appear later this week at Comic Con in San Diego. Marvel Studios has a large panel discussion planned in the famous Hall H, where their release plan for the near future should be revealed.
