There will be no break!
The author of the comic book Black Widowthere is Mark Waid, who wrote the adventures of such heroes as Captain America, Spider-Man and the Hulk. He even won the Eisner Award for his series on Daredevil. From such a talented writer, I expected something good and was not disappointed. Although I imagined everything a bit differently. As you know, Natasha Romanov is the most famous spouse of Marvel. So, before reading the comic, I was imagining a typical Ed Brubaker-style detective story. Meanwhile, I got a notebook overloaded with action. The very first pages throw us “into the deep”. There is no time to get to know the character and introduce you to current events. Black Widow is escaping from the SHIELD transcopter, dealing with several agents along the way and jumping from a height of several thousand meters without a parachute! Even in the air, she manages to kick a few asses and land safely. And it looks like that almost all the time. Waid gives us – and Natasha – very few moments to catch our breath. Spieżka is almost constantly running and has to beat new opponents every now and then. If he doesn’t use muscle strength, he has to work his head to break into the system or figure out another puzzle and save the civilians. By the way, the whole story is well written and all the threads connect with each other. There is no time to be bored here! to break into the system or solve another puzzle and save the civilians. Capture the blows
For the graphic side in Czarna Widowreplies Chris Samnee, an extremely distinguished cartoonist who had the opportunity to work, for example, on the story of Thor or Captain America. This time his task was to present an action-packed adventure with Natasha Romanov in the lead role. And he did it brilliantly. In the notebook, we will see a lot of pages where we do not get even a line of text, and all the images show the battle scenes. Already from the events in the transcopter, you can see that Samnee finds himself in it, he does his job wonderfully. Sppiezka can therefore boldly hit, kick, strangle and throw enemies, while maintaining her almost ballet poses, and the viewer feels as if he was watching a sensational film. It does not focus on the background or the features of the face, but the struggle that we have here plenty. You can see that the cooperation between him and Waid was very good and both gentlemen knew very well what they want to show us. But it is not surprising – the duo has already worked on Daredevil, for which the artist also received the aforementioned Eisner Award.
Before we go to the cinema
Natasha Romanov first appeared in comics in 1964. At that time, while still a KGB agent, she fought against Iron Man in Tales of Suspense . For years she remained in the shadow of superheroes and, even though she belonged to the Avengers, was only a supporting character. While even people less interested in comics knew exactly who Spider-Man, Thor or Hulk were, only Marvel fans knew about Black Widow. It cannot be denied that her appearance in the MCU made her real fame. The interesting creation and great acting of Scarlett Johansson made the spy become a real star and she received her own film, which is to debut at the end of this year. Is the Black Widow comiccan somehow prepare us for what we will see on the screen? Yes and no. Probably everyone interested in the title has already seen all the trailers for the said production. So it’s no secret that characters such as Yelena Belova, Red Guardian and Taskmaster will appear. None of them appear in the notebook in question. The more that the scenarios will concern completely different events in Natasha’s life. And yet there is something worth finding out before entering the room. In the adaptation, we will learn a bit of Romanov’s history, including her training in the Red Chamber. Probably the Director of the mentioned institution will also appear, and maybe even Hermit or Josif, whom we can meet in the notebook. This way, we’ll have a better idea of the SHIELD spy before the screening and maybe we’ll be able to flash our knowledge in front of our friends.
Natasha rocks!
Although in the Black WidowThere are heroes such as the Winter Soldier, Nick Fury or even Tony Stark, the main character here is Our Romanov. It is here that divides and rules. Together with her, we are thrown into the whirlwind of events that we will follow with bated breath. Some will probably complain that in many cases the heroine comes out without a scratch, everything comes out perfectly and there is no anxiety about her fate, but most of it should not be a problem. One can complain more about the fact that the Crying Lion, who initially seems to be the main antagonist of the spy, turns out to be almost redundant for the plot at some point. Personally, neither one nor the other bothered me. Waid and Samnee collaborated wonderfully and created a comic book that really got me hooked. Both the script and the line are great. If the November movie is just as good,
