Undoubtedly, the production of Venom: Let There Be Carnage experienced many turbulences related to the Covid-19 pandemic, which is why Sony Pictures took a long time to share details about the upcoming Marvel movie . Today, it has finally changed, because the studio shared the trailer and the official poster with the fans.
The former not only boosted the atmosphere of waiting for the premiere, but also allowed for a closer look at Carnage’s character. His appearance in the next installment of the film was announced in the scene after the end credits of the first part of Venom. Although more die-hard Marvel fans may also associate him as Spider-Man’s opponent.
The plot of the sequel will again focus on the story of Eddie Brock, an anti-hero who, after gaining new powers, will be forced to face Cletus Kasadi, another symbiote bearer known as Carnage.
The sequel to the second part of Venom is written by Kelly Marcel, and directed by Andy Serkis, who we know from the role of Gollum in The Lord of the Rings. Tom Hardy will play the main role again. At his side there will also be people such as Michelle Williams, Reid Scott or Woody Harrelson, whose character will be the main bad production.
The director is enthusiastic about the production, saying:
I am very excited. Again, it’s not something I can go into in detail right now, as we want to keep it until everyone can go to the movies and enjoy the movie. (…) It was great. Another group of great actors led by another passionate man, Tom Hardy. Hope you won’t be disappointed. It was a real pleasure to work on the film. “
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be released on September 24 this year.
