The premiere of another major production has been delayed due to the coronavirus. An adaptation of the adventures of one of Marvel’s antiheroes will debut next year. The announcement of the news was also accompanied by the disclosure of the full title of the film.
Update:
The first teaser of the film was published through Tom Hardy’s Instagram. A few seconds’ footage reveals the official Venom sequel logo .
.
Original news:
The sequel to Venom with Tom Hardy in the lead role was one of the last big productions whose release date was kept unchanged. Unfortunately, as with many other pictures that were to appear in cinemas this year, the debut date has also been postponed. The second October is now obsolete and the new date is set for June 25, 2021.
This delay seems quite long, but it is hardly surprising given the fact that shooting for the film was still in progress when the coronavirus crisis began. For this reason, it should not be counted that the picture will be refined from the technical point of view, because probably not enough material has been shot yet.
There is one plus of the situation that has arisen. Sony and Marvel have revealed the full title of the production – Venom 2: Let There be Carnage . It is also a reference to the character of the villain – played by Woody Harrelson – and to his lines in the last scene of the first part.
Sequel Venom is directed by Andy Serkis.
