End of rumors and guesswork. Sony has chosen the director of the Venom sequel .
The Hollywood Reporter and other foreign news sites have confirmed that Andy Serkis will be behind the camera of the second Venom movie. There is probably no special surprise here. Just last week, the role of Eddie Brock, Tom Hardy made his fans understand that it was his fellow countryman who would make the sequel to the Marvel comic book adaptation. The actor on his Instagram posted a photo of Serkis without any description.
What can you expect from the sequel to Venom ? Well, the scene after the first film credits showed Eddie interviewing San Quentin inmate Cletus Ksady (played by Woody Harrelson). In the comics, the psychopathic Kasady hosted symbiote, Carnage. He is one of the most dangerous enemies of both Spider-Man and Venom. So far, it is not known whether the presence of brutal Carnage will affect the age category of the painting.
The sequel to Venom is slated to hit theaters in October 2020.
