On the International Children’s Book Day, we encourage the little ones to read! There are many actions to support this initiative, e.g. publishers are organizing big promotions.

On April 2, we celebrate the International Children’s Book Day, the birthday of the Danish fairy-tale writer Hans Christian Andersen. On this occasion, the Jaguar publishing house has prepared special discountsfor all titles in the 5-8 age group and selected cycles for children aged 9-12. The promotion runs from April 2-6. The aim of this project is to disseminate books for children and to support reading by children. This is an excellent opportunity, especially now. The pervasive pandemic, closed schools and kindergartens are limitations that we have to deal with. However, the youngest, who are bursting with endless energy and hungry for knowledge, have the worst. Sitting half a day for online lessons can be tiring and to prevent children from spending the whole day in front of the computer (you know, nowadays the internet – mainly games – consumes a lot of time) buying a book is a great choice. Apart from the health benefits, reading books develops the imagination, broadens the vocabulary and can be a good pastime, taking the reader to another world. It is not without reason that they say that “The book is entertaining. Książa is the best remedy for boredom. ”

What can we find on the website? In the 5-8 years category, we can follow the adventures of a young peasant who dreams of becoming a warrior. The Diary of the 8-Bit Warrior  series is built on the Minecraft universe, perfect not only for game lovers.

Beware, monsters! is another super comic for the little ones. This is volume 3 in this series (1 is Beware Giants !, 2 Beware Dragons! ) And here Claudette returns to face her own flaws! This story is not only entertaining, but also teaches what you can see in our review .

And what can we offer readers aged 9-12? Difficult choice, because all items are interesting and unique in their own way. Iris McBlack. Crystal Heart  appeared on our website and received an honest review . And since even we know her, children will love her! The story of a ginger, unruly and extremely stubborn girl who takes an amazing challenge to save her sister is a good plan to spend some time!

The popular Scouts  series can be drawn into the world of combat and knights where magic does not exist. It is full of ironic sense of humor, accurate observations and comments. The heroes described by the author are full of life – far from being heroes without any defects. The book will blow the nose of more than one pride.

Maybe it is something humorous at the end to improve the day of the little reader? As the School Library Journal writes, “For all depressed children who want to play and don’t like to read.” The adventures of Captain Underpants can meet even five-year-olds! We also got a Dogman from the creator of this series –  “who digs up the corpse of corruption from under the ground, grabs the pants of escaping villains, shows the fangs of the judiciary to the robbers”. The fate of half a dog, half a human is just a sensation!

Remember, it is up to us to take the first step to get a child interested in literature. Computers and smartphones are not the only entertainment for kids, and books will also help them develop.
