The widely discussed remake of the title from Konami , Silent Hill 2 , apparently encountered an internet leak. Earlier this year, we heard about a new version of the classic survival horror game, which is to be prepared by Bloober Team and released on PlayStation 5 in the future. While Konami has still not confirmed this information, new photos have surfaced on the Internet, adding credibility to previous rumors.
A handful of photos were posted on the internet yesterday that apparently showcase the Silent Hill 2 remake . The paintings, of very poor quality, show the protagonist of the game exploring various rooms and corridors. One of the photos shows a character wielding a melee weapon, while the opponent stands in front of him. Based on VGC reports , these images do not come directly from the refreshed version of the game, but are taken from the so-called “Pitch demo” created by Bloober Team . Thus, the final product will most likely be of much higher quality, although we can see many of the elements contained in the leak in the finished product.
Overall, it looks like the new version of Silent Hill 2 will bring the gameplay into third person mode, with the hero’s camera in the lower left corner of the screen, which is definitely something different from the original version. Moreover, the photos suggest that the refreshed Silent Hill 2 may have much more in common with the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 , created by Capcom . Considering that Konami ‘s decision was partly influenced by the commercial success of the aforementioned Resident remakes , it is not surprising that the Bloober Team would like to revive a classic horror movie in a similar style.
