Exciting news comes from Ubisoft, especially for  Assassin’s Creed fans . According to CEO Yves Guillemot, the series is getting ready for further development, and six new titles are planned.

Since its debut in 2007, the  Assassin’s Creed brand has become one of Ubisoft’s most important assets . Concentrating only on the main installments, the series includes a total of 12 titles across three generations of consoles. If we add numerous spin-offs to this, it starts to get even busier, while Ubisoft does not intend to slow down. This is not surprising considering that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla brought the company over a billion dollars in revenue. However, in Ubisoft’s latest financial report, CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that there are a fair number of new Assassin’s Creed games currently in development .

According to the VGC portal , Guillemot announced that the number of employees assigned to Assassin’s Creed projects is to increase by 40% at various Ubisoft studios. The reason for this increase is the fact that as many as six games are currently being developed at the same time. One of them is Assassin’s Creed Mirage , scheduled for release in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024. In addition, Ubisoft is also working on projects with the working names AC Red , AC Hexe , AC Jade and AC Invictus , and the Infinity platform. It’s worth noting that many of these titles are still in development under mysterious codes, so their names are bound to change. Either way, there’s an impressive amount of Assassin’s Creed games that Ubisoft is working on simultaneously.

What will secret projects be about?

The interesting thing about this information is how much the existing leaks coincide with the official news. In addition to Mirage , which aims to bring the series back to its stealth roots, it is known that  AC Red will be set in Japan. The game is also rumored to be part of Infinity , a massive live service of sorts for Assassin’s Creed . Ubisoft has self-described  AC Hexe as a ‘ new flagship title ‘. It is said to be ‘a very different version of Assassin’s Creed ‘. AC Jade will be set in China, while  AC Invictus will focus more on multiplayer.

To sum up, fans of Assassin’s Creed can get ready for a lot of news in the years to come. The closest thing to release is  Assassin’s Creed Mirage , and let’s hope it meets the expectations of fans who have been asking for a return to the classic since the introduction of more serious RPG elements in the series. Following Basim’s story in  Mirage, the door is likely to open for a variety of new storylines in the vast Assassin’s Creed universe .
