BURBANK, California, March 11, 2022 – WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences (WMGBE) reminds the world that Tweety is no ordinary canary and is starting its 80th anniversary worldwide celebration. Tweety, one of Looney Tunes’ most beloved characters, is known for his poise and authenticity. WMGBE commissioned a group of different artists from around the world to design 80 original murals that reflect Tweety’s rich history and personality. Tweety’s 80 Years Campaignkicks off on March 11 in Austin at the SXSW 2022 festival, where the first part of the murals will officially debut. Anniversary celebrations will last an entire year across all of the Studio’s locations thanks to new Tweet content at HBOMax, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics, as well as new licensed products from Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The celebrations will culminate on Tweety’s birthday, November 21, 2022.
To celebrate Tweety’s 80th anniversary , stunning murals will be created, designed by a group of passionate artists to reflect Tweety’s enthusiasm and cunning, as well as his endearing personality. These spectacular works of art that everyone will be able to admire will appear in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, United Arab Emirates and other countries. In order to implement the project, WMGBE has established cooperation with 16 artists, each of whom has a different view of the little hero. Tweety’s distinctive yellow color runs through all the designs, but the different styles of the artists make each one uniquely beautiful. The choice of artists was guided by the diversity of countries, means of artistic expression, ethnic groups, gender and sexual orientations.

In Poland, we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Tweety in cooperation with Sinsay, one of the companies of LPP, a Polish family company that is one of the fastest growing companies in the region of Central and Central Europe. The Spring / Summer Collection featuring Tweety and other Looney Tunes characters will be available in stores and online from April, with the highest number of models coming in May. To celebrate Tweety’s 80th birthday and to promote the collection at Sinsay, WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences will commission a special large-area mural, which will appear in the city of Gdańsk, LPP’s hometown in May. Another moment to celebrate the anniversary will come in November, when the second mural will be created, and another fall-winter collection with Tweety will be available in Sinsay stores.
