There are so many versions of Monopoly that choosing the one - the best - borders on a miracle. Although the game is mechanically very simple and has its age, it still enjoys great popularity, and its subsequent editions are flooding the shelves of shops. All the board versions are more or less the same, but some introduce, in addition to thematically adapted graphics, additional rules. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the most interesting versions of this cult game!
Monopoly: Game of Thrones
Monopoly: Game of Thrones is a must-see for fans of the cult series. It is true that we will not find surprises in the rules or mechanics of the game, which is faithful to the basic version, but it is distinguished by atmospheric elements referring to the cult HBO series.
The phenomenal board shows us the well-known and liked lands of Westeros, which we can buy in the game as real estate. What in your opinion should be the cheapest? Of course, the coldest – Black Castle, and then the whole North. You start the game by selecting one of the extremely atmospheric and well-made metal pieces, such as: Direwolf, Dragon Egg, Three-Eyed Crow, Night King, Crown or Iron Throne.
On other properties, we can buy House cards and the Wall and Red Wasteland, build, like the Starks, new villages and fortresses (perfectly referring to the intro of the series), and we will pay for everything with a special currency – Golden Dragons. The game also includes the Iron Throne and Valar Morghulis cards with additional commands.
Monopoly: Game of Thrones is a well-made board game, and above all, a recipe for a great time in the atmosphere of our favorite series, especially in the period when our options for leaving home are very limited. I was passionate about the game, like Varys after meeting the dragon! – Mateusz Michałek
