Julie Walters, actually Lady Julia Mary Walters, was born on February 22, 1950. Her career began in the 1970s, and since then she has been seen in over a hundred productions: films, series and theater plays.
Julie Walters initially trained as a nurse, for a year and a half she worked in three different departments of the Hospital. Queen Elizabeth’s in Birmingham. However, she abandoned this career in favor of acting, which she studied at the present Manchester School of Theater. In 1975, she appeared in one episode of the TV series Second City Firsts , a year later in the play The Taming of the Shrew . The breakthrough in the career of the actress was the role in the series Boys from the Blackstuff , for which she received her first BAFTA nomination. (2008 and 2018), Gnomeo and Julia (2011), Merida Waleczna (2012), Paddington and Paddington 2 (2014 and 2017) or Mary Poppins returns (2018).
Honors received in her career include the Order of the British Empire, which gives her the title of lady, as well as two Oscar nominations, eight BAFTAs, a Golden Globe, two International Emmy Awards and the Laurence Olivier Award.
