The first day of Star Wars Celebration 2023 brought a lot of news to fans. Among them, there were announcements of three full-length films.
Among the announced productions there is a title that is to some extent a continuation of the main saga. The action is set 15 years after the events of Skywalker. revival . Daisy Ridley returns as Rey Skywalker in the film. The protagonist of the sequel trilogy will now be a Jedi master running her own version of the order. The picture is to be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who has, among others, series from the MCU universe – Ms. Marvel .
The film that probably raises the highest hopes for many fans right now is a production from Dave Filoni. The creator, long associated with Lucasfilm and Star Wars, will direct the picture that is the culmination of The Mandalorian , The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka . So far, not too many details about the plot have been revealed … with one exception. The main antagonist will be Admiral Thrawn.
James Mangold’s project will go in a completely different direction than the above-mentioned films. Director, among others Logan and the latest installment of the adventures of Indiana Jones will tell a story from the distant past of the Star Wars universe . Namely, his film will center around the first Jedi (his history was studied by Luke Skywalker). It will be the earliest production to date. This image will also usher in a new era for the entire brand – Dawn of the Jedi.
