Netflix’s The Witcher was one of many series on which production had to be discontinued due to the prevailing coronavirus epidemic. In this case it was even more strictly forced because one of the actors (Kristofer Hivju) was infected with the virus. Fortunately, everything is slowly returning to normal and thanks to the Redanian Intelligence service, we know that the team will return to the plan on August 3, 2020.
Shooting is expected to take 4 to 5 months, so there is a good chance that everything will be shot later this year. We still do not know the premiere date of the series, but hopefully this short break did not affect it much. The first half of 2021 still seems likely.
