He was born on May 5, 1983 in Jersey, UK, as one of five sons. He got interested in acting while in high school, specifically at Stowe School in Buckingham, where he appeared in Midsummer Night’s Dream, Grease and 40 Minutes. During his youth, he was also deeply interested in playing rugby, but a serious injury forced him to give up the sport. Privately, he is a huge fan of Doungeons & Dragons and World of Warcraft .
He made his big screen debut in 2001, starring in the film Laguna as Thomas Aprea. Just a year later, he played the role of Albert Monde in the adaptation of the novel The Count of Monte Cristo . He also appeared in the Tudor Dynasty series , which tells the story of the famous Henry VIII. He played Charles Brandon – the king’s best friend. Soon after, there was a temporary lull in his career, which Empire film magazine described as “Hollywood’s most unlucky man” after his candidacy was rejected after several castings. His greatest roles include the Man of Steel and the Justice League , where he played the role of Superman,Enola Holmes, where he played the famous Sherlock Holmes, and of course The Witcher , in which we saw Cavill as the well-known Geralt of Rivia.
