The Witcher season 2: Netflix discontinues recordings due to the coronavirus pandemic

According to the Redanian Intelligence portal, Netflix has stopped production of all movies and series in the US and Canada due to concerns about the coronavirus. Recordings of the second season of “The Witcher” in Europe were also suspended.

On March 13, Netflix has suspended all film and TV series production taking place in the United States and Canada due to concerns about the coronavirus .

Yesterday we wrote that the production of the second season of The Witcher will continue and the threat of the virus will not delay the recordings at Arborfield Studios (England), where pictures are shot in the scenery of, among others, the witcher’s habitat of Kaer Morhen with the actors: Henry Cavill (Geralt), Freya Allan (Ciri), Kim Bodnia (Vesemir), Thue Rasmussen (Eskel), Paul Bullion (Lambert) and Yasen Atour (Coën).

However, Netflix today announced that recordings were officially suspended for 2 weeks out of concern for the health of the actors and all employees on the set.

A few days ago, Netflix announced the hiring of two new actors: Andrew Paul in an as yet unspecified role and Guy Samuels as the Ranger.

He also published a short video from Frei Allan (Ciri), describing “Ciri is training hard”.
