Now the teaser of The Witcher: Blood Origin is also available on YouTube. Viewers have a chance to see the new cast in action.
The series tells about long-forgotten events from the world of elves that happened 1,200 years before the adventures of Geralt. It will shed light on the history of the first Witcher and the events that led to the so-called Conjunction of the Spheres – the merging of the worlds of monsters, humans and elves.
The cast will include Sophia Brown (as Éile), Laurence O’Fuarain (Fjall), Michelle Yeoh (Scían), Mirren Mack (Merwyn), Lenny Henry (Balor), Jacob Collins Levy (Eredin), Francesca Mills (Meldof ), Amy Murray (Fenrik), and Dylan Moran (Uthrok One-Nut). Sarah O’Gorman will direct the first, fourth and sixth episodes, and Vicky Jewson will direct the second, third and fifth. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will be one of the showrunners and executive producer. Andrzej Sapkowski will assume the role of a creative consultant.
The premiere of The Witcher: Blood Origin will take place in 2022. The series will be available on the Netflix platform.
