Along with several new announcements, CD Projekt revealed that it plans to release The Witcher 4 , The Witcher 5 , and The Witcher 6 every six years. While this sounds like a difficult task, the people behind the publisher have ensured that they will be able to make the new trilogy within these few years.

This means that if The Witcher 4 were to be released in 2025 (which is only an assumption), the Witcher 6 would be released no later than 2031. In all likelihood, the fifth and sixth installments will be released three years after the fourth installment to maintain continuity over this period of time.
CD Projekt claims that this goal will be achieved thanks to the fact that the last two parts of the trilogy will be built on the same foundation as The Witcher 4 . When many technical aspects of the next game are finalized, CD Projekt Red will be able to transfer the same elements to the next two titles.
Certainly, game production is very foggy which means these plans can easily change over the years. Nevertheless, it is intriguing that CD Projekt thinks it can get involved in this strategy so far ahead of time. Only time will tell if it really will be so.
