Animal possession
Bill Ramsey had a strange event as a child. One day, for an unexplained reason, he began to behave like a wild, aggressive animal trapped in a cage. This incident was, however, a one-off and years later the man knew it only from his parents’ stories. He started a family and settled near London. His life was normal until the strange fits of rage returned. Then he growled, howled, bit and jerked, and additionally became extremely strong and agile. He was able to defeat twenty trained policemen alone. And although Bill remained conscious during these attacks, he was unable to oppose the animal instinct that ruled his body and ordered him to attack even those closest to him. Doctors remained powerless and could not rationally explain the strange phenomenon. For the man, exorcisms remained the only solution. Bishop McKenna arrived, along with Ed and Lorraine Warren. It was then revealed that Mr. Ramsey was indeed demon possessed.
Is there anything to be afraid of?
The authors of the book Presence. The history of the possession are the witnesses of the event, i.e. Ed and Lorraine and William Ramsey. They were additionally assisted by Robert David Chase. The novel was originally published in 1991 as Werewolf. The story itself took place in 1983. Of course, it was classified as a horror film, and at the same time a documentary based on real events. And I think the latter term is more appropriate for her. Here we get to know the life of the already mentioned Ramsey – his wife, children, friends, place of residence or employment. Yes, there are times between these descriptions when Bill goes berserk and behaves inhumanly, but there aren’t too many of them and they are often separated by a long time gap. Fans of horror will surely say that the story of a haunted house where we saw ghosts or moving objects was much more terrifying than a guy who growls and bites several people from time to time. We also have to wait a lot for the appearance of the Warrens themselves, who appear in history only somewhere in the middle of the book. The exorcists they conduct are certainly intriguing and only he may scare us a bit. The rest is just a story of how and why it happened. I won’t say it’s boring, but it’s certainly not what we would expect from a horror movie.

Thanks to more movies, including the new one, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It , they are sure to get a lot of attention. This time, a larger gallery was taken care of, including shots of what many readers are most interested in. This deserves our appreciation. But there is also a second bonus! We can also read interviews with Ed, Lorraine, Bill or Abby Ramsey (wife of a possessed man). Such inserts not only make the whole story more intriguing, but it is also an unusual flavor for the fans. So I am happy with this release. And it is only surprising what the presence of Werewolf was made of . History of possession . If you wanted to avoid a spoiler, you would have to change the cover a bit and remove some photos from the Werewolf movie .
A book from a different shelf
The Conjuring. History of Possession is certainly an interesting story . It is quick and pleasant to read. However, it is much closer to a document than a horror novel. Fans of the activities of famous demonologists will be pleased with it, and people interested in exorcisms can confidently reach for it. Especially that it was supplemented with interesting photos and interviews. However, if you want to be afraid, you will not feel the thrill of fear with her. And if so, only for a short while.
