For those who don’t know what The Walking Dead: Betrayal is all about. Each match involves 8 players who must work together to escape from a given location. The walkers are closing fast and players have limited time to complete the tasks necessary to escape. Of course, warm-blooded humans, as we know, are sometimes even more of a threat than the popular undead . In this case, there will be hidden traitors in every group of players who will want to sabotage the escape plans. This theme seems somewhat similar to games like  Among Us , as noted by Ricky Frech from ComicBook.com , who had the opportunity to get acquainted with the game in person earlier this month. In this announcement, Frech pointed out that:

Skybound creates a game that allows you to have a good time with your closest friends and has the potential to become something more.

The Walking Dead seems to be the perfect IP for this kind of game, and it will be interesting to see how players react to the game once the open beta goes live! The market for games based on finding the impostor , as in Among Us , is a bit oversaturated at the moment, so getting players to invest in this type of game can be a challenge. Despite everything, the very high popularity of The Walking Dead universe may encourage many to try this beta.

What other The Walking Dead games are coming in 2023?

Fans of the series who are not interested in titles of this type are in luck as another game based on this one was announced earlier this month. The Walking Dead: Destinies is a single-player game that will allow players to change key moments from the first four seasons of the series. As such, players can expect to see key characters from the series including Rick, Carl, Daryl, Shane, Michonne, Glenn, The Governor and more. In addition to familiar faces, players can also expect several different locations familiar to fans of the series, such as the Greene family farm, Prison and Woodbury. You can find the trailer of the game below.

Unlike  The Walking Dead: Betrayal  ,  Destinies  will be available on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. At the time of writing, no release date has yet been revealed.
