Last year, Netflix announced that The Umbrella Academy would be returning for a 4-final season, and showrunner Steve Blackman recently revealed that the upcoming season will be shorter with just six episodes. However, it looks like there is still a lot of fun planned for the final season of this series.
It was announced that real-life couple Nick Offerman ( The Last of Us ) and Megan Mullally ( Will & Grace ) will play married couple Jean and Gene, who are college professors. The duo also played Ron and Tammy Swanson, on Parks and Rec. It turns out they’re not the only big names to guest star on the show. Also joining the cast are David Cross, who is best known for Arrested Development and Mr. Show with Bob and David. According to the press release, Cross will play Sy Grossman, “an honest, family-oriented and shy business owner desperate to reconnect with his estranged daughter. He will stop at nothing to get her back.”
In addition to the new cast, Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore will also return to The Umbrella Academy .
This timeline was dictated by Hargreeves who reprogrammed the universe at the end of Season 3. But due to Allison’s countermeasures, he couldn’t finish what he started. Allison pressed the reset button. So siblings losing their powers won’t be the only oddity in this timeline.
