Czytelnia Nova is getting ready for the new edition of the Poznań comic book event. Applications for authors who want to show off their work have just started.
As every year, the Nova reading room in Poznań will attract crowds of readers in April thanks to the Free Comic Book Day celebration. Although, actually, it’s not really, because this time the event has grown and turned into a four-day festival of comic art. The first two days are a conference, a weekend – lectures, meetings and fairs in Czytelnia Nova and other friendly places. All events are free, only the workshops will be registered. The reading room will also publish free zines during the event. Among them there will be Babski’s Zin: Explorers, witches, apostles – awarded by the Comic of the Day.
At the same time, work on the third issue of Babski Zin was announced . Interested authors can send previously unpublished comics texts to the following address: babskizin@gmail.com until February 16th . Works may take 1-4 A5 pages (the text is a standard Times New Roman typescript, 12). All graphics must be 300 or 600 dpi, 3 mm bleeds, TIFF greyscale compressed. Authors should also remember to post a short note about themselves and a photo / self-portrait.
