In response to a question from avengersfilm user, Evangeline Lilly wrote that recording of the third Ant-Man film would begin this summer. So this is in line with Michael Douglas’s earlier post that work will start in 2021. Everything indicates that Marvel plans to release this film more or less as announced (the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is to take place next year) .
In addition, the actress suggested the direction in which her character, Hope van Dyne, would be directed. During the Beyond the Mouse podcast, she took up the theme of femininity and how Osa can portray it:
I’m against this tough-chicks fashion. It is interesting because at the beginning of my career I had a different opinion about it. (…) But suddenly there were a multitude of such characters. I guess I’m an opposition by nature. I started to think that we are fragile, sensitive, small and gentle. We shouldn’t be like men with breasts. What does it mean to be a woman? This question is very important to me now. (…) I can’t reveal anything, but I think, I have a feeling that I was able to externalize it in the Marvel world through Hope van Dyne. I think the direction we are going with her may be very satisfying for me.
So can we expect the tough-haired Wasp that is ready to kick any villain (and Ant-Man) who gets in its way to become more “feminine”? The answer to this question should be expected in the upcoming movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania . The Marvel production also stars Paul Rudd, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Peña, and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror.
