Captain Tsubasa will return to the screens this fall! The creators have just published information announcing the second season of the popular football-themed anime.
After a long break, Captain Tsubasa (also known in Poland as Captain Jastrząb ) returned to the screens in 2018. We haven’t heard much about the production since then. Now the creators are announcing the continuation of the famous anime. Season two of the new version of the series is supposed to focus on a thread that fans already know from the manga – Junior Youth. According to the announcement, we will see new episodes in October this year!
In the new episodes, the main character will, of course, be footballer Tsubasa Ozora. He will be voiced again by Yuko Sanpei. The actress also spoke about the further adventures of the characters:
I am filled with joy that I will be able to play football with everyone again! This time we fly from Japan to face rivals from all over the world. Of course, Nankatsu isn’t backing down either. Now, as one team, we will take up the challenge to fight for the championship together with our current rivals. Support us as we overcome obstacles and deepen your passion for football!
The manga Captain Tsubasa appeared in 1981, and two years later an anime was also made that popularized soccer in Japan. The series was also eagerly watched by viewers around the world. In Poland, the series was known as Kapitan Jastrząb and we could initially watch it on the Polonia 1 channel . At the beginning of the 21st century, the continuation of Captain Tsubasa – Road to 2002 was also created , and in 2018 Captain Tsubasa , whose second season has just been announced!
