Stranger Things is consistently one of the most popular series of the last few years. Each season is hugely successful around the world. No wonder that the 5th season, coming in 2024, arouses so many emotions among viewers and creators.
What is the series about?
The action is set in the 80s in the American town of Hawkins. The unexpected disappearance of twelve-year-old Will (Noah Schnapp) sparks a series of inexplicable supernatural phenomena. A group of friends join forces to fight the evil in the city that has haunted them for all 4 seasons.

A moving 5th season
The Duffer brothers (creators of the series) confirmed the completion of work on the script for the final struggle in Hawkins. They did not hide the emotions they caused in other people working on Stranger Things. Earlier this year, they revealed that the very outline of the series had really moved Netflix executives. So it is certain that season 5 will arouse extreme emotions among viewers.
We managed to get our executives to cry, which I felt was a good sign that those executives were crying… The only other times I’ve seen them cry were at budget meetings,” said Matt Duffer
The director, Shawn Levy, also referred to the emotional reaction of the employees:
As a witness, being in this two-hour pitch room reading that first script, I’m terrified of spoiling anything, but I’ll say the thing about The Duffer Brothers is that even though the show has become so famous and the characters have become so iconic and it’s so much about the 80s, the supernatural, it’s about these people, it’s about these characters. Season 5 clearly deals with the characters’ backstories, as that has always been the driving force behind Stranger Things.
