Steamforged Games revealed the first look at the upcoming adaptation of the Dark Souls role-playing game and revealed some details about the title.
Steamforged announced that Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game will use the rules of the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons . However, the game will be a standalone RPG with “tailor-made” character classes, a new magic system and a bestiary with creatures from the Dark Souls series . In addition, a first look at the cover of Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game , which depicts an armored adventurer lurking in one of the game’s many abandoned locations, has also been revealed. At the same time, there will be the third Dark Souls adaptation for Steamforged, after Dark Souls: The Board Game and Dark Souls: The Card Game. In a press release for the upcoming game, Steamforged Creative Director Mat Hart spoke about the importance of the title to the company and their goals for the new game.

Dark Souls is a popular video game series released by Bandai Namco and created by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Open world games focus on exploration and survival, and the player takes on the role of an undead warrior. Switching between human and undead characters is a key part of Dark Souls games , so we’re guessing it will play an important role in the RPG adaptation as well.
