The producer of “Resident Evil” leaves Capcom for Bungie

After working for Capcom for thirteen years, Peter Fabiano announced his departure from the team. The producer played a significant role in the newest parts of Resident Evil.

The titles he co-created include Resident Evil 7 (2017), the remake of Resident Evil 3 (2020) or the latest  Resident Evil Village. He also became a model for the character of Peter Walken in the first of the games. Now he will be working for the Bungie studio. Fabiano informed fans about his decision on Twitter, posting the following entry:

In his new workplace, Fabiano became head of the production department, which he mentioned in response to his first tweet. Bungie players may know from such series of games as Halo or Destiny.

While not everyone can know the name of the manufacturer, it is clear that he played a large role in the Resident Evil series and other Capcom games ( Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, Street Fighter ). During his work in the team, Resident Evil experienced its renaissance and aroused the interest of players again. So it’s no surprise that many of them are afraid of how his decision will affect the entire cycle. Fabiano is aware of these concerns, so he responded and expressed his full support for the rest of Capcom:

It’s about the band, it’s great. They don’t make the game, they make it. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

The premiere of the latest production of Capcom – Resident Evil Village, took place a few weeks ago, so it is difficult to say what impact the manufacturer’s departure will have on the brand. There are still many creators in the team, each of whom has a significant impact on the overall game, so fans should not worry about the future of the series. But Fabiano will undoubtedly prove to be a valuable asset for Bungie and its new games.
