Enough already. That last movie of Paranormal Activity was terrible , said Blum in an interview with Variety.
The Paranormal Activity series debuted in 2007. Since then, seven films have been made, including the last one, from Paramount + , in 2021. So it’s no surprise that Jason Blum is feeling bored. However, despite the harsh words directed at the latest production and the assurance that this is enough, the producer did not confirm that we will never see another installment of the horror movie.
For Halloween, we only had the rights to three movies, so we said, “Halloween ends”! At least for Blumhouse. On the other hand, when it comes to other productions, it just feels like it’s time to part with them. [Paranormal Activity] would come back if some director I love like Scott Derrickson said, “I have a great idea for a movie Paranormal Activity.” But that’s not something I want to do [right now] .
Interestingly, despite Blum’s apparent lack of interest in the series, rumors are circulating that a new film is to debut next year, entitled Paranormal Activity: The Other Side . However, no factual evidence can be found on the internet that production actually exists. All reports of the film’s plot, cast and director are not verifiable, and there are no official sources regarding the alleged film.
