A unique strategy game is aimed at PCs. The publisher has prepared a special boxed edition.
Crossroads Inn promises to be one of the most interesting game premieres in October. The debut of Kraken Unleashed Studio is an unusual economic strategy, which in terms of gameplay seems to most closely resemble the series … The Sims. The goal, however, is quite different. In a multi-threaded story campaign, players take on the role of the owner of the title tavern in the fantastic world of Delcrys. When the fun begins, the tabernacle is in a deplorable condition. The owner, on the other hand, is actually a former soldier who lost a very high social position as a result of the conspiracy. So the game basically has two main goals. First of all – to take care of the inn, develop it and take care of the customers’ needs. Strengthening one’s position on the market may allow the economy to be used to influence national politics and, consequently, the desired revenge.
In addition to the extensive story background, the creators boast about complex mechanics. The way the tavern is furnished will be important, as it will define what customers will want to visit the player. It will also be necessary to take care of various items on the menu and bring in representatives of various professions (e.g. bards and courtesans). For fans of hardcore simulation, there is also a sandbox mode offering free gameplay.
The box editions that will be released on our market thanks to Klabater and CDP are also noteworthy. In the Special Edition, priced at around PLN 99, in addition to the game box, you will find collector stickers, a Delcrys map, a digital soundtrack composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz ( The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ), a behind-the-scenes video, a guide and a cookbook.
There is also a collector’s edition twice as expensive. First of all, it will offer a Season Pass that will give you access to all DLCs from the first 12 months of the game’s development. There is also room for physical gadgets in the form of a beer opener, a recipe cookbook, an innkeeper apron and a letter from the game’s creators thanking the players.
Crossroads Inn will hit PCs on October 23.
