The premiere of the feature film Legend of the White Dragon, starring Jason David Frank, will take place in 2024. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer featuring scenes featuring the legendary actor.
The Legend of the White Dragon is an independent film project . Jason David Frank managed to star in it just before his tragic death last year. Fans were very curious about the new installment, hoping that it would be possible to best honor Frank’s efforts that he put into the role. Now it’s one step closer to launch.
The White Dragon Legend team used their panel at San Diego Comic-Con to host a special thank you to Jason David Frank. Director and co-writer Aaron Schoenke (as reported by Entertainment Weekly ) has announced that the film will be released in the first quarter of 2024 as Schoenke and the filming team are now in the process of re-shooting the film following the actor’s death.

Legend of the White Dragon is slated for release in 2024 as the team is now in the midst of reshoots to add more material that Jason David Frank wanted. Therefore, it will no longer be released on the intended date of September 4, 2023, i.e. on the 50th birthday of the tragically deceased actor.
We’re done with principal photography with Jason, and now we’re doing reshoots to add a lot of stuff he wanted to add… We only get one chance to do Jason’s last movie, and it’s going to take forever. So I hope you all understand, it’s just because we want it to be the best it can be.
