Record label Warner Bros. announced the postponement of the new screen adaptation of Dune by three weeks. The current release date is October 22nd this year and so far it is confirmed for the US. It is not known whether the same date will apply to our country. In the west, the production will debut in cinemas and on the HBO Max platform at the same time.
Not only Duna has changed the date . According to Variety, this is part of a larger reshuffle in the label’s schedule. Other productions that have been affected by the shifts are the spinoff of the famous series The Sopranos and the latest film by Clint Eastwood – Cry Macho .
The screening of Frank Herbert’s novel, directed by Denis Villeneuve, will be delayed almost a year in total. Initially, the film was supposed to debut in November last year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was gradually postponed to later dates. It remains to be hoped that this is the last time such news comes out.
