It is worth remembering that this does not mean the creation of the entire season. At the moment, there are no details when you can expect even an approximate release date.
Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody will be responsible for the production. The series is to be supervised by Warner Bros. Television will be executive produced by Berlanti Productions by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden. The series will focus on adult Bójka, Bajka and Brawurka. Young women are disappointed with their life so far and regret spending their childhood fighting evil. When the world is threatened by a new evil, it is not certain whether the heroines will decide to join forces again and go into battle.
Last year’s announcement of plans to shoot the new Powerpuff Girls met with mixed reception from fans. Some saw it as a chance to return to their childhood adventures, others feared that changing the formula would completely destroy the already proven world. One of the supporters of the creation of this project is the co-creator of the original series – Genndy Tartakovsky. In an interview with ComicBook.com, the famous animator said not to delete the project right away.
The original Powerpuff Girls debuted on Cartoon Network in late 1998. The last episode was broadcast in the West in 2005 (in Poland it was in 2006). In 2016, the series reboot had its premiere. This production was only aired until 2019.
