According to a new MP1st report, an anonymous source has confirmed that the Horizon Zero Dawn remake is to be released on the PlayStation platform. The new version of the game is rumored to be coming to PS5 and will bring many Horizon Zero Dawn elements in a better form than what was seen in Forbidden West . This means that lighting, character models, textures, and many other visual elements will be drastically improved. It is also said that Guerrilla wants to introduce a lot of game-facilitating features to the remake of Zero Dawn , which was seen in Forbidden West .
Assuming this report is accurate, PlayStation aims to make what we saw in The Last of Us become an even bigger trend. However, unlike The Last of Us , Horizon Zero Dawn is much newer and didn’t appear until 2017. The fact that the game can get a remake is quite surprising, especially since there is also an improved version of the title for the PC.
The biggest thing in common with The Last of Us and Horizon Zero Dawn is that both titles will soon see their series adaptations. The Last of Us is set to debut on HBO in 2023, while the Horizon -based series is currently being developed by Netflix. Apparently, Sony may believe that these expansions to other media will result in an influx of new players. Consequently, the company may want to create new versions to accommodate new audiences who may discover these games in the years to come.
