We are only a month away from the premiere of the first episode of Y: The Last Man. FX Networks shared the show’s official poster on Twitter.
The story of the only surviving man – Yorick Brown and his male monkey companion Ampersand, is written by American screenwriter Brian K. Vaughan and Canadian cartoonist Pia Guerra. Due to the amazing, post-apocalyptic atmosphere and the original idea of Y: The Last Man, it quickly fell into the favor of the American comic book market.
The Y: The Last Man series has gained immense popularity. Until now, the fate of the only pair of male individuals in the world could only be seen on the pages of a comic book, as New Line Cinema’s attempt to produce a film adaptation in 2007 failed.
That changed with the FX station which eventually filmed Y: The Last Man . Thanks to this, on September 13, the first episode of the long-awaited series will appear on FX on Hulu.
The role of Yorick Brown will be played by Benjamin Schnetzer ( Warcraft: The Beginning, The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair ). In addition to him, we will see actors such as Elliot Fletcher ( Runaways ), Diane Lane ( Unfaithful, Law of Blood ) and Olivia Thirlby ( Juno, Dredd ).
Y: The Last Man premieres on September 13!
