After the board game company hinted that it would be making a game based on the popular Rare video game – Steamforged has officially announced that it is developing a Sea of Thieves board game that will be released later this year.
No other details about the board game are available at this time, but Steamforged has developed many other games for the campaign, so we can pretty much imagine anything.
Sea of Thieves is an online role-playing game where players explore an open world as pirates. They work together with other players to complete missions or fight them and try to steal their treasure. The title is distinguished by the fact that new content is added to it regularly, more missions to complete and new items to collect. Although the game received rather mixed reviews, it was a commercial success for Microsoft with over 30 million players. This wouldn’t be the first time Sea of Thieves has been on the table. Mongoose Publishingpreviously released a role-playing game that was released in 2020 and remains in physical form to this day. The production used a lightweight custom system built around dice, cards, and traits that could be switched between two states depending on the character’s mood.
