In recent years, there have been many adaptations of books on TV screens. Some were better, some were worse… Starting with Game of Thrones and The Witcher , going through the Foundation , Dark Matter , Shadow and Bone , all the way to the Wheel of Time. More and more productions are created as such – the great fantasy novel The Painted Man will also get an adaptation!
It turns out that the first novel in the phenomenal Demonic Cycle , entitled Peter V. Brett’s Painted Man is being prepared for screening. It is not known yet which studio it is to be built under, but we know that producers Roger Birnbaum ( Rush Hour, Oszustki ) and Mark Kimsey under the name of their company Electromagnetic Productions are already working on a future adaptation.
The Painted Man action takes place in a fantastic universe created by the author. It is a very hostile world, because everyone must be in safe rune circles after dark. Humanity, to defend itself against evil forces, draws them around their homes and even around entire cities. If by some miracle someone is outside of them, they are exposed to demons that roam the night, murdering anyone who gets in their way. The main characters of the novels, Arlen, Leesha and Rojer, rebel and want to change the order of the world around them, imposed by the abyss (demons).
The entire Demon Cycle is good material for several parts of the movies. For now, no details about the planned screen adaptation are known, but it is definitely a matter of time until we find out more.
