“New Mutants” is probably one of the most unlucky productions based on Marvel comics. The premiere of the film has been postponed for over two years and many fans doubted whether the picture will ever see the light of day. However, there is a chance that we will see the movie soon and this is confirmed by new materials released at Comic-Con @ Home.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, virtually all conventions and fairs in the world have been postponed or canceled. The same happened to Comic-Con in San Diego, the largest pop culture event in the US and in the world. However, in order to partially compensate the fans for the lack of a proper event, the organizers decided to conduct it online. All discussion panels are broadcast on the web, and their participants talk from their homes via instant messaging.
Such a panel was organized for the movie The New Mutants . Picture director Josh Boone and cast members – Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga and Alice Braga took part in it. During the nearly half-hour discussion, the interlocutors discussed various issues related to, inter alia, the development of production, as well as numerous changes to the release dates. At the end of the video, a few minutes of new material was shown, including the very beginning of the picture and the trailer. It starts after the 24th minute.
During the whole event, new posters promoting The New Mutants were also presented . You can watch them below. The current release date of the film is August 28, this year.
