A new Lord of the Rings video game is in the pipeline . While there aren’t many details to be found about the project, we know that Private Division will do the publishing. In turn, the creator of the production is to come from a studio that has direct connections with the Lord of the Rings movies .
In a press release, Private Division revealed that it is working with Wētā Workshop on a new video game related to the Lord of the Rings franchise . To clarify, Wētā Workshop is a New Zealand special effects company that helped work on all of the film adaptations of Tolkien’s novels. While the details are not yet known, the production is said to be “embedded in JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth world” .
The title of the game has not yet been announced, and we do not know what genre it will belong to. The only thing that has been confirmed is that the Private Division intends to release the title in 2024.
