The Exorcist is slated to hit theaters next fall, and for now the director has confirmed that production is underway.
Halloween. The final premiered on Wednesday evening. During the event, a reporter Variety managed to catch Green on the red carpet and inquire about a new project.
We’re starting in a few weeks, ready to roll up our sleeves and explore another great franchise. We have an amazing cast and scripts that we’re all excited about.
Ellen Burstyn will return to her old role. The actress informed that she had already recorded a few scenes for the reebot, on the other hand, the director talked about the start of production at the end of this year, which may raise doubts.
I am honored to be able to step into something so valuable in the history of cinema, knowing that there is still a fan base who is curious, aware, alert and potentially interested in what we are planning. I like people asking, “Is it stressful?” No, it’s exciting because I’ve spent a lot of my life making movies where you have to ask the audience for attention, see what’s going on, or buy tickets. This time I have stories to tell, imaginations to express, and the way I can do it with these movies is an unbelievable opportunity.
The premiere of The Exorcist is scheduled for October 13, 2023.
