The well-known Japanese game publisher Konami is reportedly planning to announce a new installment of the iconic Castlevania series in the coming months! In recent years, the franchise has been almost completely untouched. Apart from the Netflix animation and several remasters, fans have not received any new part since 2014, when Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was released . While the latest reports are true, the wait for news is apparently coming to an end!
In a recent episode of the VGC podcast, host and reporter Andy Robinson reported that Konami is gearing up to reveal a new Castlevania title later this year. The host also mentioned that the manufacturer has much more ambitious plans for the upcoming E3 2023 than it has been in previous years. So if Konami wants to officially present itself at the largest gaming convention in the United States, they undoubtedly have a good reason for it, e.g. the new Castlevania .
In addition to the DLC for Dead Cells , which was announced at The Game Awards, there will be a new Castlevania . There is also a lot of talk about a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake , which I believe they will finally show as well.
Robinson said.
Assuming that the new part of Castlevania would be shown in the summer, I wonder what form the game will take. The first titles in the series had 2D graphics, after which Castlevania: Lords of Shadow took players into a 3D and action-packed world. This change was not well received by fans. Perhaps because of this, this time we can expect something more close to the classics.
In the near future, Castlevania will crossover with Dead Cells in a new expansion titled Return to Castlevania . The DLC will be available on all available platforms on March 6.
