He was born on October 22, 1952, but age is just a number for him. It’s like good wine – the older the better. He and his three siblings grew up in an Orthodox Jewish home in Pittsburgh. He has Russian-Austrian roots. At the age of seventeen, he moved to New York and began studying acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse. He made his debut on the stages of Off-Broadway. At that time, he also became fascinated with jazz. His love for this music has accompanied him until now – in 2018 he recorded the album The Capitol Studios Sessions, well received by critics , and the following year he proved his talent with the album I Shouldn’t Be Telling You This.
But we are not here to write about jazz. Let’s move on to the movies. He’s starred in countless good or interesting movies (or both). However, he made his debut in… Guess… Death Wish , starring Charles Bronson. He played an anonymous thug. Can you imagine? Jeff Goldblum, a common bastard …
Later it was better, because his characters had first and last names. He appeared, inter alia, Starsky and Hutchu. But back in 1977, he starred with Ava Gardner herself in the horror film Brotherhood of Keepers of the Dark. The next ones were: award-winning Annie Hall , Invasion of the Body Hunters, The First Step into Space , The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai through the Eight Dimension, and the American-Yugoslav comedy horror film Transylvania 6-5000, where he starred with one of his wives – Geena Davis. The movie Mucha gave him real popularity . He performed there as a scientist turning into an insect. Here too Davis was partnering with him. Starting in the 90s, he starred in the highest-grossing films such as Jurassic Park and its sequels, or Independence Day . Meanwhile, he appeared in the horror film Devil’s Lair.
2016 brought Independence Day: Rebirth, 2017 Thora : Ragnarok, and 2018 – Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Hotel Artemis. Another part (which is already…) of the Jurassic World is planned for the upcoming 2021.
As you can see, Jeff likes fantastic atmosphere and… water very much. With his third wife, Emilie Livingston, he has two sons. Their names are Charlie Ocean and River Joe. He only became a father for the first time at the age of 62. But didn’t I write that Goldblum the older the better?
Now I appreciate more and more when I am among good people and work on good films and projects. I am extremely grateful and grateful.
Gratitude is a good way to get more. So we are grateful for Jeff Goldblum and his good films. And we ask for more, right?
