Just a few days after it was revealed that Temuera Morrison will return to the Star Wars universe in "The Mandalorian", we learn about another new name to appear in the cast of this series. Katee Sackhoff will play a character well known to fans of "The Clone Wars" and "Rebels".
According to reports from the website / Film, the actress is to play the role of Bo-Katan Kryze, one of the Mandalorian leaders. Interestingly for Sackhoff, it will be a return to this character, as she lent her voice in the aforementioned animated series. It is true that the official confirmation from Lucasfilm has not yet been, but the news about its participation in the production has been confirmed by several sources. The scenes with her participation were to be shot in February, before the restrictions related to the coronavirus began to be introduced.
The news of the cast of Katee Sackhoff among some fans may be mixed. The problem, however, is not the actress herself, but rather the fact that other actors from the animation did not get a chance to play their characters in an acting production. An example is the situation with Ashley Eckstein, who has been the voice of Ahsoka Tano since the Clone Wars . We are unlikely to see her in this role because she is associated with Rosario Dawson.
It remains a mystery for now how Bo-Katan will be included in The Mandalorian plots . Most recently, we saw her in the Rebel finale when Sabine handed her the dark sword – the symbol of power on the planet Mandalor. Moff Gideon had the same weapon at the end of the first season, which may suggest an earlier encounter between the two characters. It could have happened during the Mandalor Purge, an event that has been mentioned many times in the Star Wars universe but has never been told about its course.
